Carla Van Steenbergen
Director Corporate Affairs & Secretary to the Board
Carla is our Director of Corporate Affairs and serves as the Secretary of the Board of Directors. After graduating from the Law Faculty of KU Leuven in 1999, she worked for three years at the Brussels-based law firm Marx Van Ranst Vermeersch & Partners and temporarily moved to London to earn an LLM degree at King’s College London. Upon her return to Belgium, she started working as in-house Legal Counsel for Materialise. Since January 2024, she has expanded her responsibilities to Corporate Affairs, including Legal, Procurement, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), and Partnerships.
Conny Hooghe
Global HR Director
Conny is our Global HR Director since September, 2017. She holds a Master of Industrial Psychology from the University of Ghent. Previously she held several HR management positions within technologically oriented or IT companies such as Wolters Kluwer, Fujitsu Services and Atos Origin.
Jurgen Laudus
Executive Vice President Manufacturing
Jurgen Laudus is the Executive Vice President of Materialise Manufacturing. He joined us in August 2001 as a project manager and became the Rapid Tooling Manager of our UK office in 2003. For two years, Jurgen was responsible for both our Rapid Tooling sales support and production management. In 2005, he returned to Belgium to become the International Production Manager for our additive manufacturing services, and later on the Sales Manager, playing an active role in the growth of the AM production activities of Materialise. Jurgen holds a Master of Science degree in Engineering from the KU Leuven.
Brigitte de Vet-Veithen
CEO
Brigitte de Vet has been CEO at Materialise since January 1st, 2024. She succeeded Fried Vancraen, who co-founded Materialise in 1990 and served as the company’s CEO for 33 years. Brigitte started as Vice President of Materialise Medical in June 2016 and has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare and life sciences sector. Before joining Materialise, she held various management roles at Johnson & Johnson and served as the CEO of Acertys Group, a provider of medical devices, software, services, and supplies to hospitals and medical professionals. Brigitte holds a Master of Business Administration with a Major in Engineering from HEC Liege and an MBA from INSEAD. Since January 2024, she has held the position of CEO of Materialise.
