3D printing fixture company, RapidFit, Inc. begins manufacturing in Michigan
CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP, MICHIGAN –– RapidFit, Inc. (part of the Materialise Group), a provider of additive manufactured (3D printed) fixture solutions for the automotive industry, announced today that it has completed the purchase of Advanced Machining Ltd. located in Chesterfield Township, Michigan. This location will now be the North American manufacturing center of RapidFit, Inc., allowing the company to provide its services more efficiently and expand its geographical footprint.
With a focus on automotive quality and inspection, RapidFit, Inc. will manufacture CMMs and attribute checking fixtures out of the Chesterfield Township location. By exploiting the benefits of additive manufacturing (3D printing), the revolutionary RapidFit+ service provides customized jigs, fixtures and quality control solutions. These patented systems are used to check the dimensional quality of car components and assemblies.
