The MiiCraft 3D DLP printer was first released in 2012 by Rays Optics, a leading optics manufacturer that creates the projectors and lenses found in many top consumer electronics. The MiiCraft+, the second generation with more user-friendly interface and better accuracy, is now available together with the MiiCraft Builder.

Having a computer that efficiently communicates with a 3D printer drastically streamlines the 3D printing process. This is why the MiiCraft Builder seamlessly integrates the Materialise Build Processor with an intuitive front-end solution. Just one of the recent Materialise Build Processor releases, it acts similar to the way a printer driver works for 2D printers. Once users have a model ready to print, the Build Processor steps in and seamlessly transfers data, giving users more control over their 3D print jobs. The front-end solution opens up MiiCraft+'s DLP printing technology to a wider range of users and makes critical functionalities such as automatic support generation easier and faster than ever.

Ideal for 3D printing prosumers, the MiiCraft+ has been specifically developed as a sturdy and robust unit. The machine is based on Stereolithography (SL) technology using Pico DLP projectors and provides high-resolution parts at a fraction of the cost of comparable machines. The printers are ideal for creating small, delicate high-quality prints and are used in fields such as jewelry design, dentistry, education and fine mechanics.

Rays Optics has made their printer's technology open so that users can get inside the machine and adapt it to fit their needs, such as the adjustment of Z axis accuracy or curing time for different materials.
